Do you have a herniated disc, multiple herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, facet syndrome, or any other type of spinal problem? Is your doctor suggesting surgery, Pain Management, or Physical Therapy? Have you tried Chiropractic and just could not get enough relief? Come to Kunisch Wellness Center and try out non-surgical spinal decompression.
Spinal decompression is FDA approved and has been proven effective for the pain and symptoms associated with herniated and/or bulging discs. Even after failed surgery.
Research indicates the disc is responsible for a significant number of lower back/leg pain and neck/arm pain syndromes. Compression increases pressure inside the disc and can cause bulging and herniation inside the disc.
Spinal decompression therapy in conjunction with additional modalities effectively relieves the pain and disability resulting from disc injury and degeneration, by repairing damaged discs and reversing changes in nerves. Spinal decompression addresses the functional and mechanical aspects of disc pain and disease through non-surgical decompression of lumbar intervertebral discs. By significantly reducing intradiscal pressure, spinal decompression promotes retraction of the herniation into the disc and facilitates influx of healing nutrients.
WHAT ARE THE TREATMENTS LIKE?
After lying on the comfortable spinal decompression table, you will be fitted with a support system. The support system helps to stabilize your upper body. The split table design then gently moves apart and allows separation of the vertebra. As you relax, the spinal decompression table simulates an anti-gravity effect on your back that helps herniated material return to its normal position and stop the pain. Patients describe the treatment as gentle, painless, intermittent pulling of your back. Many patients actually fall asleep during treatment!
HOW LONG ARE THE TREATMENTS AND HOW MANY DO I NEED?
Patients typically undergo 15 to 20 treatment sessions. Each treatment lasts between 20-30 minutes. This, of course, depends on your individual case and is determined by a thorough evaluation. Following each session, a cold pack and cold laser therapy may be applied to help pain relief and speed the healing process. It is important to note that many patients get substantial relief after just a few treatments. Some after just one!
